I finally ventured downstairs for a few minutes and decided to give you all an update.  Everything is going very well.  I can't say enough for Dr. Loggins and his team.  They were ALL there every step of the way.  I felt like I was their only patient. Anyway, I also wanted to thank you all for you prayers during my surgery and your cards at the hospital.  They all made me smile. I want to especially thank Kathi for being my angel and following up with me at the hospital and at home.  I love you all.  Missi

Congratulation!  Welcome back to the forum! AND   Welcome to the loser's bench!  I echo your sentiments as far as Dr. Loggins and his entire staff is concerned. He DOES make you feel like you are the only patient he has to worry about! I felt that about him the first time I met him and I STILL feel that way. What a wonderful gift you have given yourself this Christmas........a second chance.....to a brand new life!  That is something all of us who have had the surgery can definitely be grateful for and those who are awaiting surgery can definitely look forward too. Take care of yourself, listen to your body and don't try to overdo too fast. With each passing day you'll feel your energy level get higher and soon you'll be doing more than you could have thought possible. Again.....CONGRATULATIONS and WELCOME NEWEST LOSER! Anne

Congrats on your surgery Missi! Glad you're feeling better. Everyday gets better and better. Don't worry about the food unless you're hungry, just worry about getting down the fluids and protein. The food will come later. It gets eaiser the longer you're out from surgery.  Get lots of rest but keep on walking whenever you can. It's weird but it does help you feel better.  Please keep us updated on how you're doing. Merry Christmas, ~dori~
