OMG I am absolutely beside myself right now! I'm home for a snow day today and Jeff is still at the station, so Jake and I were having some quality play time this afternoon after lunch.  He had been cruising all over the living room, like always, when he stopped in front of the TV and took two steps away from it towards the center of the room. I was on the couch directly in front of him by about 6 feet and held my arms out and tried to get him to come to me. I've been doing this for months, and he'll just drop to the floor and crawl over to get a hug ... BUT NOT TODAY! He WALKED across that 6 feet into my arms!!!! I cried and cried, not only because he finally did it but because I was actually home to see it! Thank you mother nature! LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW, LET IT SNOW!!!! I am SOOOO excited!!!!!!

Such an awesome feeling witnessing those little milestones.. Still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling remembering my kids first steps.  They grow so fast every minute you can spend with them is priceless. I am so glad you were there for his big moment

Thanks for sharing in my excitement, ladies! He's 13 months old now and this was by far the best Christmas gift I could have wished for! I am so very excited! It's so thrilling and I feel so blessed that I could be there to see it - one of the perils of being a working mom, I suppose!!
