First apt with Corrine tomorrow

It is funny that I am a bit nervous.  Probably because I have only lost a few pounds since the first mtg.  But when I had the big hoola of my ins saying I couldn't use him as a doc etc I basically wasted a month and actually gained 3 pounds.  So bad.  So If I look at it that way I actually lost 5.  I'm working on it. So we shall see what she has to say.  I have been keeping a very detailed journal.   On another note I met with the sleep doc today.  I am scheduled for my sleep study on Dec 28th.  I am actually looking forward to some much needed sleep.  It will be the first night in 8 months that I have not had to wake several times and sleep very lightly so I can hear the monitor aaahhhhhh heaven.  Even though I will be hooked up to a gazillion things----I still bet I sleep well. I was a bit bummed though because they said it takes 3 weeks to get the results in.  So even if I meet with Corrine another time and everything else is okay I imagine I wouldn't be presented until at least end of Jan when they get the results.   Well, off to read my nutrition book to prepare for my quiz.

Definately bring your book with you. They make you take a test and it's open book. Take your time and you'll do fine. I saw Corrine at the end of November and couldn't get in again until January for my second appointment. She's booked like five weeks out. For all we know we could go at the same time! That would be cool.

Corinne is awesome and will go over your journals and give tweeking advice. She's very fair and has some great ideas. She sent me home with a huge folder of recipes and information along with some protein samples. She will be very pleased with your weight loss. It shows you're really trying. She also know when people cheat because they write down all the right things but don't lose weight. She's a smart cookie!

I was nervous too but it was a piece of cake. Just be honest and do your best. You will be successful!

Well, the appointment went great.  I lost 6 pounds.  Which is good for me considering I gained some after my iniital problem with the insurance etc. I did excellent on the test.  It was completely different then what I expected.  So my new goals are to try to pick lower sodium options (no more kielbaba for me ha ha), Get my calories between 1300 and 1500, get my physical activity up and keep doing what I am doing.  My protein is great and my liquid intake/water etc is great too.  Oh yeah, I need to add some more fiber in so that I can feel fuller for longer.  You should see my book---it is all 1's and 2's---feeling hungry all the time. I found out I have low vitamin D so I have to take this pill and get new labs done in 9 weeks.   I learned a ton of new options for adding fiber, upping my vitamin D etc.  She is such a positive person.  Here I was nervous (and seriously almost ashamed) because I had only lost a certain amount.  She was very upbeat about everything.  So my follow up is January 9th.  My new insurance will be kicked in by then so we shall see what happens after that.  I came out of the meeting more positive than when I went in.  So what's left for me----Sleep Study Dec 28th, 2nd mtg with Corrine Jan 9th, labs from vitamin D stuff right around the 9th, and a mtg with the psychiatrist.  I hope all can get done and I lose my weight at least by March---Feb would be the best---but I don't want to get my hopes up.
