Hi Dreamin' Thanks for the welcome! Yes her office does appear to be a "well oil" machine.  I was really impressed with her when I met her yesterday. Candace

Welcome and best of luck on your approval and surgery.  I meet with Dr. Toder on January 4th.  I am excited, but a little nervous too.

Welcome ocean lady to our family !!!!!! being a flat lander orginally I LOVE Maine and the ocean.been up here since 1983. My hubby is from here. The only regrets about the surgery I have is that I could have had it like 20-30 years sooner !!! But the surgery changed my life NOW and that is what I concentrate on.

Hi Pam! I'm waving at ya from across the bay - I'm currently living in Belfast - born and raised in Blue Hill. I have been reading your posts for awhile now - it's been inspiring to hear your progress. Although I've been overweight (up and down the scales) all my life, it's only been the past two years that it has really interfered with my quality of life, I can't wait to feel more functional. Walking at this point is hard - I never thought I'd be here. Like so many things I've been through in life I'm using this a life lesson, giving me more understanding and tolerance. But I don't mind telling you I can't wait to just be able to talk my dog for a walk again. Candace

Hi Candace, I've been catching up on old posts (I am new to the board...see my story on my profile) and I notice that you are from Belfast...I am right up the road in Frankfort. Just wanted to wish a "neighbor" well. I may have missed it, but do you have your surgery date yet? Did you decide on a surgeon? Do you go to the EMMC support groups? I'll be rooting for you! ~T
