depressed

I got a call yesterday from Crystal and she wanted to talk to me.  I called the office and they had closed.  So I talked to her today, and because of my thyroid I can't have my case presented today. I was really bummed almost in tears.  So I can't have surgery till I get a good blood report.  I took the radio active iodine to kill my thyroid on October 11, I had an overactive thyroid.  So I went back and had a blood test on Nov 19 and my levels were still high.  Than I had to be on heart medication to stop my heart from racing.  I'm so disappointed.  I don't know when I'll be ready now.  That's what's holding me back.  Say a prayer for me...............Thanks everybody.

I know you are dissappointed but it is good that you are getting this stabilized Now and not had the surgery then have to do it. This way after the surgery your thyroid will not stop you from loosing weight. Thyroids really do strange things. I always had to take med for mine. After surgery was actually getting too much thyroid and I was so weird feeling, nervous, really freaky like i was  not myself I swear it affected my thinking even. I would not wish that on anyone. So sit tight take a deep breath realize this is for the best to get this all stablized BEFORE surgery. A year from now you will look back" skinnier" of course and say gee I am glad i waited and got my thyroid in order first.

Oh wow is this the first you have known bout having a thyroid prob? Ive been on thyroid meds for 8 years now so mine is well under control. After not being able to lose weight after my first born I looked into thyroid cause of the toxemia I had.. Hope you are able to be leveled out soon I can only imagine being that close only to have to wait.. Hang in there your in my thoughts Kathy
