Update on Corinne the NUT
Hi all,
The appointment went great. She's very proud of my progress. She was excited to see I had lost 10 pounds since Oct. 12. She was so great to talk to. She asked a bunch of questions and we went over my journals. She also took photocopies of the journals as well. I also got a 99 on my test!
Anyway, she tweeked my choices a bit. We set goals of 1200 - 1400 calories a day. That's what I'm mostly doing now but some days I've hit 1600. I'm easily getting 80+ grams of protein a day and she said that was great. I should be having up to 85 oz. of fluids a day and I easily get in 64 so will work on that. I walk nearly every day and she wants me to work up to 40 minutes which will be double what I'm doing.
So all in all I'm doing great and she see's no problems and feels I should have great success. I go back January 2nd at 8 am for my next appointment. She said if I'm still doing great she will pass me then. I'd really have to screw up to not get passed.
Thanks for the support. I'm on cloud 9 right now. We're anticipating an early February surgery.

Yippie Lisa! Great news! DOn't you just LOVE Corinne? I do. She's the greatest thing since sliced bread! :) I go back to see her on Friday for me 2 month follow up and I can't wait to see her! (everyone else too - they're all so awesome!)
Sounds like you did great!!!! You have all the same goals that I did - sounds like you're really ready to go! January 2nd will be here before you know it! WTG Girlie! Keep up the awesome work!!!!!
I so agree with you. The whole staff is amazing. Always smiling and being helpful. They are also very encouraging. Any little weight loss deserves celebration!
I can't believe it's almost December let alone it will be January in a blink. I'll be on the losers bench soon.
I want to be where you are! You're doing great too. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations Lisa!
I could tell, when I met you at the pre-op meeting, that you had that look of determination about you. I KNOW you'll do well and I'm sure you'll have another "good report" from Corinne come January. The loser's bench is saving a spot for you and you'll be with us in no time.
I don't blame you for being on "cloud nine" right now either as it is a wonderful feeling to know you're doing something for yourself, for your health. This is one Christmas season that we can all say we have something to celebrate.....A NEW LIFE!

I think it would be great if you guys could be roomies too. I LOVED my roomie in the hospital and that made it SOOOOO much easier! We laughed and talked - went for walks together etc. We motivated eachother to keep moving etc. It really was nice to have someone to ***** and complain with! And to laugh at when the pain meds made us loopy!! LOL
