First appointment date

I called today and I have my first appointment on Dec. 6th with Dr. Loggins.  I am really excited.  I was told that they will send me an information packet and paperwork to fill out.  I was also told that the appointment will take about 2-2 1/2 hours.  What should I expect?  Wow, I am just really excited that I am getting this going.

Congrats on getting things going.. Time will fly now! (or at least I thought it did) The first appointment will be a long one, but it's totally interesting. They have you watch a video about bariatric surgery, and then Crystal comes in and goes over some things, and then Dr. Loggins comes in and talks to you for a bit.. Yes- make sure you write down any questions that you have because they are more than happy to answer them! Keep us updated!

Yippie! Dr. Loggins is THE BEST! Everyone is so nice and they'll answer any questions you have, so definetly write some down! You'll learn so much and the time will fly by! Congrats on getting that first appt!

Thank you all so much!  I am so excited.  Can anyone give me a rough estimate of how long from first appointment to surgery date?  I know everyone is different but I just want a rough estimate.  Thanks again.

I'm not sure how long it takes---I am in the middle of the process with Dr. Loggins myself.  I know besides the testing you will have a nutrition class, a new patient orientation, and a one on one with the nutritionist (maybe more---not sure how that works).  I just went to my first pre-surgical support group tonight.  The girl that was in the new commercial for Dr. Loggins (Sarah) was there.  She has lost like 113 pounds in 6 months.  From a 28 to a 12!  She was definitely inspiring.
