3 Month Surgiversary!
Saturday I will celebrate my 3 month surgiversary....finally! LOL It's been a long haul for me, but I'm happy to say that I am celebrating my 3 month Surgiversary feeling much better.
I have finally stopped vomiting! Hallelujah! LOL I can't tell you how happy I am to finally be able to eat and keep it down! Now, I'm working on finding ways to get protein in so that my protein levels will allow me to start exercising again. But all in all....I'm making progress.
My weight loss has reached 58# so far. The scales move a pound here or there, but they like to stand still alot. Of course this is the only time in my life where I need to eat to lose weight! LOL I think that once I can get more protein in and can exercise, that things will move along better.
What I've realized so far on this journey is... to expect the unexpected, celebrate even the smallest step forward, appreciate those who believe in you and support you, and be thankful for everything!
Each day is a new beginning! Thank you for celebrating today with me!
Blessings, Yvonne
Yuonne,
Was wondering how you were doing. Glad to hear all is going well Congradulation on the weight I havent lost anything in a while so you have taken the lead.. I am now walking on my treadmill two miles a day hoping to add muscle mass that i lost. things always happen for a reason we just dont know why but I am really glad you are feeling better.
CONGRADULATION ON 3 MONTHS OF THE A JOURNEY..It is all worth it in the end to get healthy and happy with ourself.
Have a great weekend
Barb
Hi Barb,
Actually I think I wouldn't mind the stand still in weight loss if I was gaining some muscle tone back. Things are starting to get a bit mushy! LOL
Your doing great! Keep those muscles moving....they burn more calories, so you'll not only be losing weight faster but you'll be looking slim & trim too!
Blessings, Yvonne
Congrats, Yvonne!! And 58 lbs in 3 months is great!! Just think, you would never have lost that fast or maybe not at all in the past!! I am also releived that you are no longer vomitting and doing better now. Are you able to drink the liquid proteins? That is how I get the majority of protein in for the day. It is my saving grace. Also I exercise 3 to 4 days a week at Curves and feel awesome! My loss is very slow right now, but I am almost at my first goal of the 100 lb mark (71.5 lbs since surgery 6/25). Some days I wonder if it will ever come! I am going to try and get in more protein and eat less carbs and hope it will kick things in. I am finding now that I am grazing and can eat more and more. I also believe that I don't dump on sugar. I had a peanut butter cup on halloween (1/2 of a full candy bar!!!) and didn't bother me at all. That kind of scares me to death!! I think the honeymoon is coming to an end for me! Boo!
Hi Kathi,
Congratulations on your weight loss! Wow!! Your getting really close to celebrating with the "100" Club!
I'm sure it's alot harder to keep control of eating habits if you don't have an aversion to sugar. Do you have no limit to the amount you can eat?
As for the protein shakes....I'm desperate to be able to drink them again. I've been trying and was able to keep down 4 oz., but I didn't feel too great afterwards. Protein is my biggest issue, so I'm trying whatever I can to find a way to get it in.
Stay in honeymoon mode, Kathi. If you believe it, you can achieve it! So if you believe that all your efforts will be doubled because your still in the honeymoon phase, then your work will pay off in some awesome rewards. I think many people feel a big let-down when they think the honeymoon phase is over and stop trying as hard. Don't let that happen to you! You can reach your goal in record time!!! I'm rooting for ya!!!
Blessings, Yvonne
Congratulations Yvonne! I am sooo happy to hear you are doing much better. Me and my honey have been keeping close tabs on you on here...(lol) we are your silent cheerleaders ... You have kept a positive attitude with all you have gone thru and always have a positive word to share with others...you deserve to finally feel good! I am happy for you!
Thanks so much Netti! It's nice to know there are people out there cheering you on when things in life get tough.
I believe that a positive attitude can have as much to do with getting better as the medical aspect of things. And of course there would be no positive attitude with out a little faith.
I haven't had a chance to check the updates lately. I hope your doing well. Your in my thoughts & prayers.
Blessings, Yvonne
Yvonne, How often do you see Dr Trieu? I have to go every month for the first year. I was thinking of leaving one of my favoriet protein drinks for you to try. It's the only one I have found that doesn't taste like vitamins smell. (did that make sense?)
I am so glad to see you are doing better. I was so worried about you. Isn't it weird how this journey brings us closer to people we havn't even met in real life?
Keeping you in my thoughts, wishing you well!
