I was wondering if anyone has bought the sample pack they offer from bariatric eating?  I know I am in the beginning stages---but I have tried soooo many drinks in the past trying to lose weight (slim fast, whey protein etc)....and all seemed so chalky to me I was gagging them down. So I thought about getting the sample pack now to see what I like etc so I can be prepared for my pre-surgery diet and also post-op.  And I can ask for some of the stuff I like for Christmas :) Anyone try it?  Anyone bought from there before?  What did you guys drink right after post op to get the protein in--that you liked? http://www.bariatriceating.com/ulprtapa.html

Hi Tanya, I have bought the sample pack!  That is how I discovered that I liked the liquid protein the best. Don't buy too much before your surgery. I have found what I liked before, I couldn't stand after.  Also I use the blender bottle all the time. But I don't use it for the purpose it was intended.  I carry it wherever I go with my water to drink. If you drink just two of them, you get in your daily requirement of water.  I also find that after I found the protein that I like, it is cheaper to buy directly from that products own website.  They are a little bit more expensive on bariatric eating website. I highly also recommend the products of this website. They are really good!!  www.revivalsoy.com

Thank you so much!  I am going to order the sample pack before surgery and will go from there.  Thanks on the tip of going to the mnfr website.  With twins every dollar counts!

I was wondering if you got the before and after book with it?  If so, did you like the book?  Good info in there?  I am getting ready to place an order for a sample pack.  The pack without the book comes out to cheaper (when you subtract book price) and you get 14 samples instead of 12.  So I would buy the 14 sample pack and the book separate...if it was worth it for the book.  Or, if you were done with yours (if you got it) I would offer to buy yours from you if you were done with it..:)

I do have the book, but I didn't get them together.  I bought the book on Amazon.com.   I haven't really read to much info out of it yet, but from what I read it has good info and it has some good recipes.

another good book suggestion, and my favorite is Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies.  I would highly recommend buying both the books on Amazon.com.   I think it is a lot cheaper there.
