Well, today is my 4th Month Surgiversary and I am down a total of 95.3 lbs since my first appt with the Maine Bariatric Center and 69.5 lbs since my surgery on 6/25.  I can't tell you how much my life has changed for the better due to this WONDERFUL tool and the help of Dr Cobean and the staff at MBC and my friends on OH.com I am finally living my life!!    In this process I have found myself by overcoming depression and grown closer to Jesus Christ, I was baptized on October 7th and I love my new Church Family at Stroudwater Christian Church!!   In a couple years, I plan on going to their short term missions to Nicaragua and Guatamala.  I want to be in the best physical shape before I do.  But I will be there!

Kathi, Congrats on the weight loss!!! You're looking great. I bet you're feeling great too. Going on the short term missions sounds like fun. When are you going to do them? Now that you're more than 3 months post op are you going to go to the other support group too? ~dori~

Thanks, Barb!  I can't wait to go!!   I am planning a pleasure trip to Paris next year some time and also in September (I know hurricane season)  on a caribbean cruise to Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Cayman & Cozumel.  It is actually a Cruise to Lose that I heard about from a member on OH.  It is through www.rubycruises.com if you are interested!    People who have had WLS and their freinds & family are welcome!  I have a balcony cabin reserved for 4 and we need a another person to join us.

Thanks Dori! I feel so awesome! I can't remember when I felt this good.  Maybe high school?  Over 20 years ago at least!   They go on the missions every year around this time.   A Medical team and a Worker Team just came back this past couple of weeks. I will probably go in a couple of years.  Need to build up my muscles first. HE HE Going to curves so they are getting there.  I feel them in my biceps anyway and in the back of my lower legs (what are those muscles called? LOL I have stumped my co-worker!!)  Anyone, know?
