Tarka,

It looks like you are almost 1/2 way and only in 7 weeks!!!!???? Holy crap. I hope I have success like you. I'm still pre-op and can't wait to be a loser. Just remember what others say about stalls... your body will go thru an adjustment stage and you might plateau for a short while. Don't get discouraged. 40 pounds in 7 weeks is huge. That's almost a pound a day!

Don't lose hope!  You really are doing great, even though it may not seem so.  The plateau your on is actually a good thing.  Your body has to adjust to your new weight along the way or you could end up getting ill.  The plateau is temporary and before you know it, the scale will moving downward again.   Are you getting in enough calories, protein & fluid?  If not, that could be the reason your body has stopped dropping weight because it thinks your starving it.   How is your exercising going?  Maybe you need to increase your aerobic exercise or change up your routine.   Keep the faith and celebrate your success!   More success will follow!   Blessings, Yvonne

I think you are doing very well!  Maybe it is because you are 1/2 way to your goal?  I had 200 lbs to lose. Of course that is probably an unrealistic goal but it is mine. I will make it there. I think the more you weigh the faster it comes off at first.  You will get there.  Just think how slow it would come off if you had not had this great surgery tool!!  Hang in there, Tarka!

Sorry it's not coming off as quickly as you want Tarka! Is that 40 pounds in the 7 weeks post-op or total for as long as you've been working with Corinne?

It's all post op.. And I know, I just need to be a little more patient. I just get upset when I feel like I am working so damn hard and I want the weight to come off NOW.. LOL.. I guess I just need to have more patience.. Thanks for all of your words of encouragement..

4o lbs is 7 weeks is amazing, esp considering you had a realitivy low BMI to begin with. If Have a great dayyou lose any faster then that you will end up getting sick. Enbrace the new you, and love where you are and how far you have already come. This surgery is not suposed to be a quick fix, but a life long tool. Bethany
