OK, now I definitely have a date!!!

I want to thank you all for your support.  You have no idea how helpful I have found this site.  I wi**** had been around 12 years ago.  I just got off the phone with Anthem and my surgery was approved for October 22.  The letters were generated yesterday and mailed out today.  So it's is just a matter of days now.  I will be busy trying to get things done ahead at work so I won't be completely overwhelmed when I get back and they won't be completely sunk without me!! One question for Dr. Cobean's RNY's, how long were you out of work?  My job is not very physical, mostly sitting on my butt with paperwork.  Is it okay to start being nervous now?

Good luck with your surgery! Being just two months post-op, I can still remember how I felt  in those days and weeks before I had it done. Feel free to e-mail me if you wish!

Hi Kim, Congratulations!!    (this was me when I found out I was approved)  Also, I was approved to be out for 3 weeks, and I just have a desk job.  I could have gone back in 2 weeks probably. I had absolutely no issues.  You will be the same, I am sure!!  I also was unusually not nervous at all.  I was that ready to have it done!  The key is to stay calm and have positive thinking!! These next few weeks will fly right by!!  I was out of work for three weeks...I have a desk job so it was quite easy to return and answer the phones!!  I wish you the best of luck!!
