Got my date!!!!

I'm scheduled September 10th for surgery!!!  It's been a long 4 1/2 months but it's almost time. Sept 4th will be exciting, first I go to Dr. Loggins for the last check-up and my supply of injections for after surgery  (I'm not going to like that!). Then I go to CMMC for my pre-surgical work-up. Then it's just the wait until the 10th. It seem like so far off but I know it will fly.

Any suggestions on what I should take to the hospital and need 1 week after. I need to stay in Lewiston for 7 days after surgery because I live 1 1/2 hours away from CMMC. I got some protein stuff packed in a bag allready.

Another question I have is: Has anyone tried those protein bullet things? 42 grams protein in only 3 ounces. I bought some but haven't got them yet. I figure I would use them if I fell behind on my protein.  Thanks for any input, Cheryl

I ordered them from E-bay a little pricey at $33.59 (including shipping) for 12 but I figure they would come in handy in a pinch. I got orange flavored hoping it would taste something like orange Koolaid. I'll let you know after I try one. Cheryl

I'm not exactly sure what's in them but I know they have blood thinners. Dr Loggins requires all this post-op patients to get one twice a day for a week in the belly. I figured all Dr's do this, maybe not. Cheryl

Oh Cheryl! What good news!! Sept 10th will be here before you know it!  I only got the blood thinner injections 2 times right before surgery and right after before I left the hospital.  I LOVE the protein bullets!!  I got so sick of the regular protein shakes. I like Fruit Punch the best. They are all a little sour but hey, it is only a few sips and you are done. Be sure to not drink all of it at once, your body can't absorb the whole 42 grams at once. My Nut says about 25 grams at a time. So only need to drink half at a time. They are perfect for travel. I plan on bringing them next year on the Cruise to Lose!
