Hi Barb, Wow! I can't believe your surgeon lets you have eggs! Amazing how every surgeon is different. I just graduated to soft foods. I had my 1 Month today!  I am down 30 lbs!   If you like Cottage cheese, that is pretty good and has lots of protein. It also went down fine for me, anyway.

Yeah, that is crazy. They brought me Turkey, veggies and Potato the next day in the Hospital. They don't know any better in the kitchen.  I did have the sugar free egg custard they brought with it, though. But I was like "hello" I just had Gastric Bypass surgery!   I wasn't ready to eat anyway. The nurse told me as long as I get my fluids/water in..... food will come much later. Dr Cobean doesn't have a 2 week appointment only a 1 month, and then I didn't even see him. Just the Nut, Social Worker and Nurse. I am sure if anything was wrong though, I would have seen him.  You are doing great!! Keep up the good work!!

Barb Glad you are home. Yes that gas is fun hugh????? They told me all surgery's to the stomach cause gas from being opened up. Listen to Dr. Clough he is good. But I could not eat eggs until about 3 mos out now I LOVE them. Enjoy the wonderful changes in store for you. Pam

I have been able to eat a soft boiled egg,......not the whole thing mind you, for a couple of days now,  but the first one I tried came back up.  I really didn't have gas after I got home from the hospital, but some have said the gas x strips help???  They just melt on your tongue, so you don't have to swallow them, send hubby out and try it,  what have you got to lose??  It won't make it worse, thats for sure.  Walking will help too, and just plain old time.  You can message me with questions if you need to.   Your in my thoughts,  heres to a new us!!!!! Hi Barb,  I'm happy to hear that your home!  I'm so surprised that your allowed to eat solid foods already.  Seems every surgeon has their own way of doing things.  Just take it slow.   Blessings, Yvonne
