They are sending me out to insurance!!!
It has been quick (I started in early March) but it has felt like forever.
I am hoping they hear back from Anthem Bc/BS quickly but now comes the next unnerving wait. It feels like this has been a series of nervous waits.
1- wait to see if PCP would make the referal
2- wait for the info session
3- wait to meet surgeon- would he think I was a good candidate?
4- wait for the psych office to call me with an appointment
5- wait to see the nutritionist- would she think the band was not for me?
6- wait and wait and wait for the psych eval report to come in. (the psych part was the worst waiting ever)
7- endless wait to see the psychiatrist- am I too nuts to qualify?
8- wait to see if the team would submit me for insurance approval (or if there was going to be more appointments, making me more nuts!)
and now the wait for insurance approval begins!
of course I will still have the wait for my 2 personal trainer visits
then wait for my final pre-op visit with the surgeon
then more waiting for my surgery date to be finalized
then the wait until surgery
then the wait until I start to lose this fat self...
I know it will be worth it in the end but I am not a good patient person...just ask my mom!
Thanks for listening!!!!!!
Sheli, I'm soo happy for you! It won't be long now. I'm going through the same surgeon as you and have BCBS of MA and it only took 1 day to get my approval! The office told me it could be a week or more to hear back, but it was the next day. I hope yours will go as fast as mine did. I can totally relate to the waiting game....I have a refresher nutrition appt and my first personal trainer appt. on 7/10 and then my second personal trainer appt and final consult with Dr. Trieu on 7/17.....then I wait for a date....seems like forever away but I just keep telling myself that it won't be long now. The office gals are really good about trying to get you in as soon as possilbe and even doubling up appointments like they did for me. At least once you have your approval you can breathe a little easier. Keep us posted so we can celebrate with you! Blessings, Yvonne
