tonights bariatric meeting

Hello guys, if you attended the meeting in scar. tonight and I didn't have a chance to tell all of you guys hello I want to do that now. I also want all of you to know that I get inspiration from all of you. Besides being a big mouth I do look and listen it just excites me to see the changes in everyone. keep up the good work...............tina

Hey Tina, The meeting last night was good. They're always good.  You're looking great!! The other night when we were at Walmart I saw you and thought " that lady looks like Tina" , then I had to look again because it was you. You're losing weight quickly.  Are you still feeling good?  I wish the meetings had a place for us to talk after. Last night Alan wanted to get home and go to bed because he worked the night shift the night before so he didn't sleep, but I usually like staying after and talking with everyone.  Are you going to go to the Emotional/Behavorial meeting for 3 months or more post op's, at the Bariatric Center on Monday the 18th? Hello Ya know I don't know about you but I will get on the scale for a week and no change then I will get on another day and I dropped 10lbs.. Not only did I need to loose weight to get healthy but I needed to get my teeth fixed I had 5 pulled today that were rotten good thing I don't get hungry cause there is no eating.Ya know I am going to feel like a new person. What time is the meeting on the 18th?  I was just saying it would be fun if once a month those of us that wanted to got together somewhere and shopped,walked,had coffee something together, just to all continue our journey together.  what do you think?   Have a good evening  tina

Tina, Hi! The group meeting on the 18th is at 5:00 pm at the Bariatric Center. I'm going. I hope you go. How is your mouth feeling? Wow 5 teeth! Ouch! Did they put you to sleep? That has got to hurt. I hope you're mouth heals quick. I'm at my goal weight now, but when I was losing it came off quicker at the begining then tapered off and the last 20 pounds seemed to take forever. I don't know if it will continue to come off, but I'd like to stay right where I am now. Your weight loss sounds normal. I can see it, you're losing very quickly. I think it would be great for the post op's to get together once or twice a month to go shopping or just for a drink (non alcoholic lol) I think that would be so much fun. If people didn't want to spend money we could meet at someone's house. I'd offer my house for the first time, then the next time go to someone elses, just a thought. Then we could all chat for more than an hour and a half and get to know everyone better. We could also go to a track and walk, that's free if you can use a school's track. Hi Dori this was actually the second set of teeth I had 6 taken out the friday before memorial weekend.  My gums aren't healing as quick though due to the nutrition he said?  So now I have no back teeth I am actually having a partial made.  I would enjoy getting together with the post ops we can meet at my house also I am all for the shopping too lol.  Maybe I will put a post to see if anyone wants to get together.  Do you work during the day?   tina

Tina, Yep I work Monday - Friday. On Mondays and Tuesdays I work 7:30am-4:00pm On Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays I work 8:00am-4:45pm. My schedule will change on July 1st to Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm (thank goodness). I can get together any weekend or week night. Yes I think we may go.  Yes I am still sore only where the port is and only when I bend a certain way. It's more of a burning sensation than a soreness. The meeting still at the same place?  Thanks for your support Linda
