Hi Barb, it is me again.....no I have never tried a dehydrator, do not like jerky....any kind period!!  But I do have a herd of deer that come right up to my window in the winter to feed!!haha  Google it, I am quite sure that you will find something about it there....

I have one but I've never tried jerky. I use it mainly for dried flowers, herbs and catnip for my kitties. I always thought it would be good for fruit, i've heard of recipes for fruit roll-ups.  Cheryl

I haven't yet but I sure would like to!  I would like very much to try and make it less salty.  I've had deer jerky my brother-in-law makes as well as beef.  It's terrific!   You can buy turkey jerky also at Walmart so I wonder how that would come out?  I just might try it this weekend.....I don't have a dehydrator but the oven can work also.  Have fun! (Do you have a Marden's close by?  They have jerky right now for $1.99 and it's the tender cuts...ummmmm good!)

Remember....when life hands you Lemons, ask for tequila and salt and call me over!
