I'am offically Banded

Hi I told you I would update and so here goes. I had my band placed by Dr. Toder Monday morning and all went very well. I was so pleased beacuse I didnt have that awful gas problem so that was wondeful Every there at EMMC was very good to me and I got woderful care. I was released after I had my first meal which was 4oz of carnation instant breakfast. I drank it slow i took meabout 40 minuites and i had to problems. I was released at 12 noon and got home about 3pm. I had a pretty good night I was up alot oing to the bathroom which i know was due to the IV. I will up date again a few days. Julie

Congrats!!! Please keep us up to date. I'm glad to hear you didn't have much pain from the gas... let us know if that changes. I'm interested to see how people are feeling a few days out. And what you are able to eat!!!! I get my band on May 30th!!!

Congrats Julie! Please let me know if you have any problems with loud gurgling noises coming from the stomach area. I have heard that it is a common occurrence. Not painful - just a little embarrassing. I am scheduled to be banded next Wed. 5/23 at Maine Med in Portland. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I am not bothered by the gas pains.
