Consultation Done!!!!

Just got home from Bangor. My consultation with Dr Huang went very smooth. He took a peek at my belly, asked a few questions, went over the whole operation. He also said that even though I have an extensive abdominal surgery history, a lap procedure "should" be doable..... Had my pre-op bloodwork drawn after the appointment. Now the WAITING again!!!! They are petitioning TriCare, he said I was a perfect candidate. I am so excited........................................thanks for listening

Congratulations Maryellen you must be sooooo excited. The waiting is tough but you are REALLY almost there! Does Dr. Huang do LAP Bands? I thought Dr. Toder was the only one who did them???? Anyways, hope you hear from him again soon. Deanna : )

Thanks Deanna, I don't know if Dr. Huang does the lap bands or not. I am having RNY, and the "laprascopic" procedure should be doable. I hope so, less pain, shorter hospital stay. The recovery would be much quicker. I hope this can happen, but he won't know for sure until he gets in there, but he doesn't forsee any problems right now. Thanks again, Maryellen
