GETTING THERE AND NERVOUS

I will be having surgery very soon and im sooo nervous.. everything should be fine but jeez im scared out of my mind about dying does anyone else feel the same?

Congradulation on having your surgery soon. As far as being nervous I think it is very normal, As for me I am scared of dieing if I dont have it..I would rather die on the table and not know about it then die of pain of a heart attack or have a stroke. Barb

Hi April, I too am getting closer to my date, and what I am most scared of also is dying...but you have got to put that in the back of your mind and keep pushing forward with your plans, remember you are doing it for your daughter and for yourself to be HEALTHIER....I have a four year old son and to be perfectly honest with you I am scared right out of my mind, but I have weighed the pros and cons, the best thing I think, is that we will be there to see our children grow up and to actually chase them around and keep up with them!! I have just now started telling my little boy in "kid" terms what is going to happen to mommy, I think that was the hardest thing that I have had to do so far, of course I have not told him about mommy might not be coming back....I could never bring myself to say that to him!! Everything is going to turn out just fine, just follow what the doctors are telling you, and DO NOT let anyone sit you down and tell you nothing but horror stories about the operation!! Some people will just do anything to bring someone down....you will be just fine!!! Let me know how you make out!!

thanks for the reply. Im so glad that I found this website. because I love talking to people that are going through the same thing.. when is your surgery going to be? I also figure that if I do die then it was meant to be, and I was going to die anyway. Im healthy other than being big so I think I will be fine. Honestly this has consumed my whole mind , its all I think about now. so where do you live? it was nice talking to you.
