Hello, I'm from Bangor and looking to have the LAP Band procedure! I'm going through EMMC and have one appointment left with the dietician in two weeks before being scheduled for my visit with the surgeon. Things are going great and so smoothly so far. I've been on the lifetime diet for two weeks in preparation for the surgeon meeting and I've lost 10lbs. Good to see others on here from the same area! Darcy

Hi Darcy, I believe that I attended a meeting with you at my pt appt. and meeting with the dietitian. I was just curious...how close are you to finding out your surgery date? I am still waiting for my psych eval......: ) Hopefully that goes well!!! Anyway, congrats on your 10 lb. loss that's great! I lost 20 but I think I've put 5 back on, nothing new for me ahhhh. hey, I live in Ellsworth. I have to have a cpap titration done before my surgeon will see me. Dr. Huang at EMMC. It is looking like the first of May perhaps?? I started everything on Dec. 1, so thats not too bad. If it wasn't for them finding out I had sleep apnea, I would already have a date!! Oh well, glad I am getting treated for it, and it will make surgery safer for me. All the other appointments went by so fast. Now I have a 2nd sleep study on April 10th, and Lynn said to call her the next morning and she will give me an appointment to see the Dr. Hang in there. Maryellen Webb

Hi I live in Biddeford and my surgery is scheduled for April 23, 2007 just got the date today.

Congrats on getting your date. How long was your process? I am waiting to hear from the surgeon for an appointment now. I believe that's it. I am so looking forward to getting my date. Let us know how everything goes and good luck. : ) Deanna
