This is way ahead of time guys, but I need to find a seamstress...even if it was in Bangor who would be able to fix my wedding dress for me once I lose my weight. I never planned on having the gastric bypass when I bought my wedding dress... so now I have a size 24 wedding dress for a June wedding, and I am having surgery in January.. no way is this going to fit me in June.. lol. I have been searching online with no luck. Anyone know a good seamstress that would be able to alter my dress when it comes closer to time? I feel that it is going to be a big alteration, but I really want to wear my original dress and not go buy another. I like the dress sooo much. Thanks for your help. Kristy

Kristy, After you find a good seamstress, wait on having the alterations done until May. After the weight comes off your taste for the style of clothing you like my change. You may want to buy something completely different. I know my clothing style changed. I wear things now I never thought I would wear. I use to like loose clothing that hid my figure. Now since my surgery, I look for clothing that shows off my "smaller" hips and tummy. Congrats on your surgery. ~dori~

Hi Kristy: There is a seamstress who has done work for me (my daughters formal gown) and she has an office in Henry's Bridal on Main Street in Bangor. She does an excellent job and I didn't think she charges that much either. You should check her out. I think her name is Lia (pronounced Lee) but don't hold me to it, LOL --Diane
