Back Home

Well I had my surgery on Tuesday with Dr. Toder laproscopically. Came home on THursday.I'm doing OK other than I started having diarrhea so they have put back to just clear liquids(I thought full liquids was bad enough). They also had me give a stool sample the results won't be bac****il monday so it will be a long weekend. Other than that that though I am surprised at how well I feel and am able to get around without much difficulty. Mind you I'm not climbing mountains but I wasn't doing that before either LOL.

Hi Julie: I am glad you are back home safely. I sent you a comment under the ne you sent to me when I was in for surgery on Nov 30. I ended up back at the hospital because I have jaundice. Dr. Toder was very concerned because thats' never happened with any of her patients. So I had blood tests done, an UltraSound done and I need more blood work done on Monday. Apparently I bled a lot during surgery and it is coming out thru walls of stomach or something like that, and all my stomach is, is a mess of bruises. I hope you feel better soon. I know what you mean when you thought full liquids was bad enough...I have been around som much flld since I got out of the hospital that at one point I wondered why I had this done..but that only lasted about 10 seconds because I also said to myself that if I had waited until after Christmas, then I would be even longer away from being a loser! LOL...Can't wait for a couple months to go by and I will have proof of why I had it done before Christmas.. Just think Julie, while a lot of others are or have gained weight thru the holiday season, we have lost!!!!!!!!!! I can always use more ideas on our small menus that we have to work with I don't know about you... I am looking forward to meeting with the dietitian on Tuesday and hope she lets me have Soft/Pureed foods! Please keep in touch, and I made a place next to me for YOU on the losers bench! Diane

I'm glad to hear your doing better. That sounds really strange and of course you had to be the first right. Well I think I figured out my problem "lactose intolerence"?? MAybe hopefully. Well I'll find out the results Monday so if it's not c-diff then I defiently think it's the lactose. Hey and talk about the losing part I stepped on the scale and it says i've lost 12 pounds since my surgery date. Is that crazy or what. Crazy YES but i'll take it lol talk to ya soon Jules
