Deferred

Well, I got tired of waiting today, so I decided to call back MaineCare and get an update. I was a little disappointed after talking to them, but atleast it isn't a denial, it is deferred. They said they didn't have enough paper work, and that a paper was being sent to my surgeon's office to let them know. So, then I got on the phone with Dr. Clough's office and asked them about it. They said they would call Mainecare and get back to me. So then I get a call back from Dr. Clough's and they tell me that Mainecare wants info from my PCP on my diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol. Also about the medication I am on. So, I have called my PCP and left a message on their answer machine, and will call them again tomorrow.

Hi Kristy, I'm sorry to hear about your approval delay. I can understand your frustration. After hundreds of surgeries I would expect that they would have a better idea of what info and paperwork to submit with your application. Guess there always seems to be red tape to go through. Hopefully the paperwork they need can be faxed and the process will speed up and your approval will be soon! I have't heard anything about my approval yet......the waiting is so nerve wracking!
