How, what and when?

How, what, and when did you choose to tell your boss about WLS? Jeannie

Me again... I told my boss once I had my first appt. We are an office of 3 and are very close and supportive of each other. Your have to decide what is best for you. Everyone is different. I have read that some people just tell them they are having surgery for female issues. Hugs, Ronda

Jeannie, How are you doing? I have not heard from you for a while and was thinking about you yesterday. I still have not told my employer about my surgery and I am almost 6 months out. I just told my immediate supervisor and the people that I work with closely that I was going out to have my gallbladder out and I would be back in 4-6 weeks. For my short term disability I had to tell them what I was really having done but due to HIPPA laws they can not discuss it with anyone. I would tell them that you are going out for surgery as soon as you get a date, that way they can prepare for you being gone. I wouldn't do it any sooner because then it will be hanging over your head. I hope all is well with you and your family. Talk with you soon.

I am back to check in with the people who made my wls issues so much easier.....how is everyone doing I am feeling great....I can see a difference everyday.. I would like to hear back and see how everyone else is doing...anyone who needs a lending ear to ask questions or just simply want to chat feel free to email me..or im me if im on....i'd love to hear about others stories..and Im sure there is more people I can share mine with that havent heard of me!!!!!!!!! wishing everyone the best of luck....laurie
