It's official!!

I'm brand new here, and I'm amazed at this site. What a great support for people who are looking at this option. Anyway...I will be having my open gastric bypass on Friday, Aug.25th. Dr Clough is my doc, and the nerves haven't hit me yet. I feel pretty good about it all. I've attended a few support group meetings at EMMC, and i guess my questions and concerns have been addressed. I"m sure that I'll be around a lot. Jodi

Hi Jodi, You have come to a great site for information and support. I had Open RNY with Dr Clough on 7/13/06 and am so happy I did. I haven't had any issues, I do consider myself to be very lucky as I am able to tolerate all of the foods so far on my allowed to eat list. And as of my 4th week I was down 37 lbs.
