IS ANYBODY OUT THERE?

I posted a note a few weeks back but no one has answered. I just had my second appt. with the weight loss team. I have seen the nutris. twice , the therapist once, who said I didn't need to be sent out for further counseling [yeah] I am going to a support group meeting within the next couple of weeks. When I asked the office what happens next, they said they would call me. Does this mean they are waiting to see if the insurance comp. will cover before they give me a sugery date? I am on pins and needles waiting.I know that you all know how I feel you've all been there done that. I have come to the end of the line regarding GERD. It is overwhelming to think that this surgery would be my cure. I have not gone through this process like everyone else has so maybe it will be different for me concerning the ins. comp. Please reply. THANKS

Hi, I agree - all doctors have a different set up steps and requirements. Don't hesitate to call the office. My paperwork got "lost" in the shuffle at the doctors office and it delayed the surgery date by about 4 months. I would be surprised if they would schedule a date without approval from the insurance company first. Also, I had tons of testing done before they would schedule my date - like bloodwork, EKG, a lung test, an EGD, a sleep study, x-rays.... and more. Good luck, Amy S
