?Insurance issuses

What do you do when your employer does not have wls in their insurance polices? Can the surgeon submit it under a different code so that it would be covered like any other medically neccesary surgery that is done a hundred times a week? If I dont have this surgery, I do believe I will come down with throat cancer. Yes I am obese, but I was referred by my stomach doctor to the wl surgeon because of my ten years of acid reflux disease. Stomach dr. said there wasn't anything else he could do for me. Gastric bypass cures severe types of acid relux by 98 to99 percent. what do I do folks? HELP
