Nicole,
I don't have one yet, but I am sure that I will.
I am only 3 months out, so I still have a way to go. But, my arms would be the area I need it the most. The other stuff, I can hide.

I wish you were closer... sadly right now my weekends are insane with being in PA most weekends so lunch on Fridays is like my only time with my girls
having a meal with other WLS folks at various levels past surgery is interesting...
and we DO talk about the surgery and stuff A LOT... very supportive and helpful!

I missed Hump Day. Had a dental procedure at 8:00 a.m. (extraction and start of an implant), took a vicoden and was totally out of it.
On the way home, I thought of this board - I stopped at the Cow in Reisterstown and got a kid size yogurt. I remembered a member talking about the Cow and several memebers of this board meeting there from time to time.
Must say that I feel better this morning - only a little pain and swelling. Time to get ready for work.
Have a great day all.

When I was first out my surgeon told me 30 minutes a day and I could divide by 10 or 15 minutes increment. After being 3 months out my doctor expected me to walk 1 1/2 to 2 hours a week then add different exercises toning and etc 3 times a week. Not all docs are the same for sure. Make sure you follow what your doc tells you what you need to do.
You are only 5 weeks out and no you are still under the no heavy lifting and no major exercises. ;)

You are doing fantastic 50 pouns in 5 weeks is nothing but awesome. There comes a point in time when the body has to catch up with all that constant losing. That is when you see the inches just melting away from your body. You should measure on a monthly basis. You will will be astonished with your results.
My doc always told me to take a multivitamin, a b complex, calcium citrate 2 timeas a day a B12 shot once a month an iron daily and a vitamin D supplement.
When you are early out you are at your highest of malabsorption. Taking your vitmains daily should be religiously. Like Nessa said it is imperative because you can have permanent damage.
I am at 4 1/2 years out. I always take all of my vitamins as instructed and I am not having issues with my vitamin D2 it is deficient. I also have vitamin B6 toxicity. So both situations are dangerous. I can have peripheral nerve damage for a long time. I am not on Vitamin D2 50,000 IU one time a week. I also have to keep away from the B-6 until it goes back down to normal. So please be careful and know that it is very important to always take your vitamins correctly.
As for the cookie you did you forgave yourself and you moved on. Which is great but if you start early trying stuff like that it will just be a slippery slope from there. Just being honest. If you give yourself the first year to lose all of the weight that you need to lose weigh then perhaps you can reward yourslef then.
Swimming does count so continue on on what you are doing.
Wishing you all the best.
Sincerely,
Cira
