sorry you are finding such a dead board. but not sure it will ever revive itself. so glad you gained some of the weight back. i think if i ever stop eating and exercise regularly, if i get to about 175 i'll still have some extra, which will be perfect for me. once i have plastics it will be great. i just have to stop eating though..... lolol

Before you consider Mexico..and if MD and VA are too expensive...you may want to try California...I moved here from MD and was surprised with how cheap the prices are for plastics here..with reputable doctors...approx 4995 for tummy tuck...2995 for breast aug...the only thing I found that was expensive was butt implants...lol.....which was almost 10,000....just something to think about...

WOW....This is where it all began..I have been soo busy with life that I forgot where I came from...I had lap band surgery in 2008 with Dr Andrew Averbach...I was 276 pounds on the day of my surgery (Im 5'4) .....I moved to California in April 2010 and by the Summer of 2010 I was down to 121 pounds...Most would be ecstatic about that huge transformation...I looked like a crack addict.  My face looked skeletal, my hair was thinning (though I was proteining and vitamined up :) )  and despite working out- my skin was hanging like melting wax...My own family was even questioning if I was on drugs.  Most people would say "dont listen to them, they are just jealous of your success'.....uhhhhh naaah....Looking at pictures now, I looked sick.  I found a wonderful Cali Doctor and asked him to take my entire fill out and let me start over....(Dr Feiz in Beverly Hills).  I gained loads of weight back, but now am at a comfortable 155 pounds.  When I first started this journey, I had a weight in mind that I wanted to get down to.  Ladies/Gentleman..dont write that date in stone..what may look good on one person may look horrible on another.  I learned my lesson and found through my own personal experience-Im not meant to be 120 pounds...

Yes, and I did. Thank you and I apologize (and to anyone else I did not respond to).  I have not been frequenting the boards since cominghome and neglected to let you all know that I was okay and made it home.  My fault.  Was in a morphine induced bliss.

I should have had this little arrangement taken care of before I went to the hospital and thought I had but realized a friendship had turned toxic and hence my ride went bye bye as my sense of sanity and self worth kicked in.  Then the date came up with a week's notice and I just went for it. Get me fixed and I will figure out how to get home after.  One of our family friends happened to be home from work for lunch when my son called them and came right over to St. Agnes after she got off from work.

On my way to skinny, then the new car LOL

Hello All,

I am in Laurel and would love to participate.  I really haven't discussed my surgery at all and would love to be apart or a positive experience.  Still trying to reeach goal but its so hard alone.  Please keep me posted. Thanks!

 hey all!

for those veterans on the board, i hope all is going well! for those just starting your journey, you will find a great, although sometimes tempting and challenging life after surgery!

im holding about 215-220. i fight with myself on the grazing. the other day i looked at a pic where i took my kids to an amusement park, and i could not believe that was me! i was 350 at my highest recorded weight (probably more!) and that seems so long ago.

stay strong everyone! have a great holiday season!

I am at St. Agnes and may be getting discharged this evening or tomorrow monring.  I would be sincerely grateful if there is anyone who can help me get home to Middle River (Eastern Avenue and Carroll Island).

Stranded but on my way to skinny
