Topic: RE: Anyone have surgery at St Agnes?
I had my revision there. Its been almost 2 years though. Everyone was absolutely wonderful for the exception of one nurse on the day I was leaving. She was really awful and would disappear on me.
The docs doing rounds (not sure how to refer to them) were extremely wonderful. I even had a couple great conversations with one of them who asked me for advice on how he was doing. I told him to please always remember, the patient is most likely scared, nervous and things do hurt even if you arent the one feeling it.
I had a very hard recovery for some reason. The next morning when I was trying to go for my testing, everyone could tell I was having a hard time getting around. When I made it to radiology, they made me go back to bed. I wanted to get the test over, but they insisted and were afraid I was going to pass out.
I'd go back, but I think I'd go wherever Dr. A was.

Once I was approved I think it was about a week or so before I got a date. My surgeon was Dr Schweitzer. It took about 16 months from the time I first saw Dr Schweitzer until surgery. Good luck!
Topic: RE: Bariatric-friendly PrimaryCare Doctors near Columbia, MD?
I like the practice I go to in Columbia off of Thunder Hill. They have many doctors in the group. I see Dr. Bensinger and her number is 410-964-6200. GOOD LUCK!

I had my surgery there on 4/26 and it was fine. The nurses and techs were great. I do recommend that you have someone stay with you for the few days. This made it easier to go to the bathroom and to get my walking done. If they **** you off just keep puching the pain pump button!

Well as unpleasant as that sounds, as long as I have the pain pump and my moms arm to help me up when I need it, I'll deal. But I love that they're private rooms.

Hey, I had surgery there also. The rooms are funky shaped (lol, they really are). and my nurses were crappy. I asked to go for a walk and she came back like, 2 hours later to help me.. One had a horrible attitude, and idk, it was just a crappy experience. Luckily I was knocked out on the pain pump so I wasnt a complete ***** :) It is what it is though, just make sure you have family to help you through it. You do get private rooms, but where your family sits and sleeps, they CANT see the TV or anything, its really wierd.

Well that's very comforting! Thanks. I think most of the people that were complaining were in the maternity ward. I just couldn't imagine EVERY single nurse was so awful.

I did and it was fine.
I was there the day after they opened the new wing. The nurses and staff were wonderful. The only "issue" was that they didn't have pillows in that area yet.
