Topic: RE: Support group local to Severna Park/Pasadena/Annapolis
Hi there,
I live in Bowie and hate driving up to the St. Agnes support group (and it's impossible to get there on time after work.)
I'd love to get together with others in the area even if I have to drive a little bit.

Topic: Who likes horses?
Hi Everyone in MD,
As some of you may know, I have a horse and I'm a huge advocate of horseback riding as exercise. Ok, so maybe not so huge anymore since I'm a little smaller, but you know what I mean. It's a great way to enjoy physical activity and the outdoors.
So, I have been leasing out my horse out cause I don't have time to ride him as much as he needs but the person leasing him got busy too. So I thought of all of you here and wanted to tell you in case anyone has been interested in riding a horse (for the first time or getting back into it after many years) but hasn't due to their size.
My horse is strong and can handle a rider up to about 300lbs. I won't say it's a strict limit but I'd like to keep it around there. I know many places where they say the horses are limited to 200lbs and if you're close to 300 you might be embarassed to give riding a try anyway.
So, I'm looking to lease him out (ideally to the same person for riding 2-3 times a week but I'm ok with different people who only want to ride once a week too.)
He is boarded in Upper Marlboro and the barn is very nice with an indoor and outdoor ring and trails. What you can do with him is dependant on your skill level and if you've never ridden before I would want to give you lessons in the ring rather than just letting you go out and do whatever you want.
Please PM me if you're interested. I would love to give someone the chance to experience something they love or have never tried.

I had to stay 2 nights because I couldn't take in the required liquid amount they want you to drink/ eat the day after surgery. As long as you take in the required amount of liquid and can keep it down and everything goes ok with your swallow test (upper GI?) you should be able to go home the next day.

How nice of you Laura to reach out and touch all of our new friends. And, yes, it does seem just like yesterday that you were a pre-op waiting for a surgery date. And look at you now! Keep up the good work girl! My best to everyone who is lurking, waiting and post-opping.
Topic: RE: Reversing RNY?
Definitely check with your surgeon. Something else may be going on, as the others mentioned. Keep your layers in the truck. The weather is unpredictable now. I always keep sweatshirts and jackets in my backseat of my car. You just never know. But heck, with me, I keep getting 'hot flashes' one minute and shivers the next. So I am all messed up. So I feel your pain. Hang in there. It will be July again before you know it. Keep moving, it will warm you up. Good luck!! Karen

I was told that a multivitaminn such as centrum or centrum chewables would be sufficient , i was told that the equivalant store rands would be fine to , I was told Caltrate would be fine to use as well, Walmart usually has the vitamins buy one get one free, Centrun is on sale at target for 6.00 and the chaewables are 11.00. Hope this helps.

Hi. I'm a lurker, but am kind of a newbie also. I start my 2 week pre-op diet tomorrow. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I'm nervous that I won't have the appropriate vitamins and protein for after the surgery. I would like to buy stuff at local stores instead of buying online. We are in a new neighborhood that doesn't always get packages at the right time. I went to Costco today and found liquid Multi vitamins and liquid Calcium Citrate. Any other suggestion from Costco and or Gnc/Vitamin world? I'm looking for chewable or liquid iron...any suggestions?
Thanks for the short rant. I'm sure I'll have other questions.
