Well I have an appt scheduled for next Monday with my primary,, we'll see what she says. Thanks everyone, dealing with the cold while I'm "up and around" is no big deal,, but while I am relaxing, sleeping, and rying to get up and ready for work is the killer. I find myself dressed for outdoors all the time.
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

Hi Cindy! Congrats on starting your journey. You will want to get a list of your required vitamins from your surgeon if you haven't already. Costco is great. Also Wallgreens, Walmart, etc. carry the calcium, the B12 and the D. It sounds like you are well on your way! For protein, I started testing different premade shakes as well as powders before surgery and I suggest that if you're seeking something that's just right for you. Just to suggest a few: Unjury, Body Fortress, and Max Protein. You can find that stuff in GNC, Walmart, etc.
Good luck to you! Keep us posted.

Dr. Schweitzer is the best. The whole team at Bayview is great. I am regularly at the support group meetings... I try to go to every one that I can, I hope to see you this Thursday.
Good Luck and if you ever have any questions you can feel free to ask (on the board, in person, or PM)

Topic: RE: Anyone want to have a "support group" in PG or Howard county?
I haven't had the surgery yet but I would be soooooooo interested afterward. I live in Upper Marlboro and HAVING to drive out to Baltimore could be challenging sometimes. Unfortunately, I'm quite a ways out from having my surgery. I have my first consult with the surgeon on Nov. 1. But I would really love to stay in the loop if a support group does happen to come together in the PG or Howard area.

you need to talk to your doctor... seriously. a reversal is a very very serious procedure much more serious than the actual surgery.
there have to be other options.

I live in Bowie (close to 495 though) and am willing to host...or we can meet for dinner some night. Or I'm personally willing to drive anywhere as far down as Upper Marlboro or as far up as Columbia or Glen Burnie. Anyone want to try for a meet up?
