Topic: RE: BayView...Dr. Anne Lidor?
I just had RNY surgery with Dr. Lidor on October 1st.  I love her.  I was orginally scheduled with Dr. Steele but she was out on medical leave.  Dr. Lidor also removed my gallbladder in 2007.  She is not a surgery that is going to coddle you but I need that tough love.  I was recently admitted to the hospital for dehydration and she stoped in to check on me and was sweet as could be.  If you are the kind of person that needs to be hugged and kissed along the way I wouldn't pick her.  I on the other hand would rather have someone who is straight forward and to the point.  Again, I can not say enough good stuff about Dr. Lidor.  As far as the BV support group I have been a couple times before surgery but haven't been since surgery.  It is definently on my to do list.  Good Luck!!!!

It took me a little bit longer also because I had a leak at 10 days post op which landed me back on clear liquids for an extra few weeks.  Then back on the soft foods.  To this day, I still have to be careful...your body will tell you trust me!!

Topic: HEALTH INSURANCE

I just came across this forum and I'd like to say hello to my fellow Marylanders.  I am having trouble buying health insurance that covers wls.  I was anxiously waiting for the new one that was recently signed but was told wls is not covered.  I am self employed and a diabetic.  Does anyone know of a good insurance company other than BCBS?  Your help is greatly needed.  KC.

Bernice,

{sniff, sniff} What a tender post.  You made me tear up.  I'm glad you're feeling normal...normal's awesome, isn't it?

Keep up that great attitude ... the world is yours now.

Well articulated, honest, funny, poetic.  Thank you for sharing.

Waiting for the sequel with bated breath
