has anyone had any experience with Dr. Joseph Michaels of Bethesda, Dr. Joanne Lenert of GWU Hospital, or Dr. Kerry Owens of St. Agnes? i am 3 years out and desperately need skin removal and i am having the hardest time choosing between these three surgeons. I had my RNY at GWU but i am leaning more toward dr. Michaels, i really liked him and his work.
Any feedback or suggestions on how to choose would be appreciated!

Sounds like a hernia! I had a hernia repair at 18 months post-op. It seems to be a pretty common occurrence.

I am almost 10 years post op and I have had a few things occur that some doctors have no clue ( and I found the answer after a few minutes by researching medical sites). I am looking for a doctor who is familiar with Gastric Bypass and issues that can arise afterwards. Right now I am looking for an internal medicine practitioner and an endocrinologist. Thank you.

I've heard nothing but good things about him!
In case you're wondering, you won't need to take a lot to the hospital - your cell phone and charger, lip balm, comfy clothes and a pillow for the ride home. Anything else, they'll provide.
And don't stock up on a lot of food/drinks at home because it's likely your tastes will change and what appealed to you pre-op may not post-op!
