Sinai Bariatric Program hosted a "Graduation" for post-ops one year out and above. They had a buffet of healthy choices and light guitar music. It was formal (black-tie optional) event and I would guess there were approximately 70 plus attendees. It was a very nice evening and great to see everyone all dressed up and looking marvelous! What struck me most was the joy of everyone. There were smiles all around. .. The room just felt light and airy as we celebrated our health and looking good. Thanks to all of Sinai Bariatric Team - and there are lots who make it a great team! It was a wonderful evening. For those unable to attend, we missed you and hope you can attend next year, expecially you guys.... where were you?!! It's truly nice to celebrate an accomplishment with WLS fiends, plus, there was a lot of food leftover... boy isn't that nice to say... Thanks again. Enjoy the great weather and best wishes, Lisa

Last time I spoke w/ Nancy she said they would have one next year too. They plan to have one a year, I think. It's exciting! How are you coming along Nadine? Mandy

Hi Mandy , I'm doing pretty good so far. How about you? My complexion has improved and people are noticing the difference. I have energy, I havn't had in years. I'm still being non-compliant, when it comes to my water intake though. Most days, I know I'm not even getting in the 48 ozs. I havn't been getting on the scale. I don't want to get disappointed. I tried on my favorite suit (size 26) and it was falling off me. I'm tall, but when I put it on, my daughter told me it made me look short. I have a bunch of size 22 clothes that I had never gotten rid of. They fit really good. I plan to wear them the rest of the summer. I would love to be in a 16 my my birthday in September. This past weekend I walked 4 miles in 1 1/2 hours. My foot hurt for 2 days afterward, so I'm going to work on walking 3 miles a day and improving my time. After my 3 month check next month, I'll try doing the 4 miles again. Nadine O.

That's great! I'm REALLY short 4'11 and I am finding stuff in my closet that I forgot I had. It fits now!! I squeezed into a 20 pair of jeans this past weekend. They are still a little tight. Only a few have noticed my loss but I think it's because I have heavy hips/thighs/etc. It's harder to tell. My weight loss has been slow but steady and I'm noticing that my complexion has gotten better too! I have been working out @ Quest in Abingdon usually 3 days a week. Glad to see you're doing great! Congrats to us!!!! Mandy
