Yes, Also Baltimore, well actually Carroll County. I also have Dr. Sweitzer as doc and I like him. Debbie in his office is great! I am waiting to change insuracne at open enrollment due to my policy having exclusion.

hmmm so when is your surgery. I'm always afraid that i'm supposed to do something before the surgery and then i'm going to forget and I won't be able to have it done *yikes* We don't have to do anything before surgery, right? Like loose weight or go on a protein diet?

I have to go through a lot before surgery, on top of all the appointments and tests and seminars, I had to go to a pre surgery nutrition class and we have to take multi vitamins before hand and also are encouraged to lose 10% of the excess weight before surgery. I guess each Dr. is differet. Kim

My original surgery was to be April 18th, however my BCBS is self insured through my employer who has an exclusion and I was denied after two appeals. So, I will be obtaining new insurance end of May. Each insurace company and their requirements are different. Dr. Sweiter's office will advise you what is needed according to your insurance. I did not read your profile, have you done consult?

Just on the outskirts of Baltimore, in Catonsville. I'm 8 days post-op. My surgeon was Dr. Mark Kligman. I had my surgery in UMMC. Wonderful experience. No complaints. I'm down 9 pounds too.
