OT: Ocean City / The Quay

Hi Maryland people! We're planning our second vacation in Ocean City (last week in August) and have found what looks to be a gorgeous rental at The Quay on 107th Street. From all the photos I've seen and reviews I've read, it looks amazing! We totally don't care how far we are from the boardwalk, so being up this far is not an issue for us. Hey Christine. The Quay is really nice. My Mom has a place on 98th street that we stay at and all the buildings around there are nice. I was in that building a few years ago and everything looked good. The only thing I don't like about that area is how crowded the beach gets, but we just go out early and stake out a spot with all our stuff. I'm sure you'll have a great week. Melissa

Hi Melissa!! I remember we corresponded about OC last year! Don't your parents have some sort of restaurant or something down there? We went ahead and booked an oceanfront 3BR unit at The Quay for the last week in August (this is the same week we went last year, and it was DEAD up until Labor Day weekend!) So crowded beaches will definitely not be an issue! Last year we stayed on 84th Street. Our daughter had a blast down there. She's 5 1/2 now and she is sooooooooo looking forward to going back (as am I, with my two brand new tankini's that I bought at a boutique down there last year!!!) Hubby and I just booked our first trip since I got pregnant. We'll be heading to OC mid-May. This time we did get an oceanfront on the boardwalk, which will be a first for both of us. But, usually we stay more in north OC. I like staying up that way better because you're close enough to do the boardwalk thing but, when you want to go to bed or just relax you don't ahve 8 million people.
