Food Suggestions
Hi Beth....congratulations on your surgery. I think everyone goes thru the bordom part..... I pureed: chili, hamburger I had made up w/taco seasonings, stew, baked chicken breast w/a little gravy for consistency, pot roast meat (and just mashed up the vegetables)...I personally don't eat seafood but my friend pureed steamed shrimp and liked it. Hope this helps a little. This stage will pass and you'll be on to more solids quicker than you think.. Hugs, pat
Hi Beth, It has been quite some time for me since pureed but what I lived on was baby food, mostly fruits with proetin (whey) added, also mashed potatos, at this point the carbs aren't enough to hurt you. I also did a lot of pureed tuna with mayo, celery and very little seasoning to taste. Pureed tuna was the easiest forme since tuna is already mu**** didn't seem Gross" like most other foods pureed. Also eggs, mostly dippy because the onsistency is runny it was easy giong down.
Good luck, before you know it you will be off pureed!

I am 7 weeks out, during my pureed stage I had to stick with soft foods that didnt need to be pureed since the whole idea of it made me sick. I had refried beans, little chicken broth to smooth them out, with melted cheese...ricotta cheese with small amount of sauce and shredded cheese, mashed potatoes, cream soups, mashed carrotts and mashed califlower. hope this gives you some ideas!
