bad hair day

I am interested to know the rules about highlighting your hair and / or dyeing it, or both. my doc says i should be ok but I want to know if anyone has any advice. I am 2 months and 2 weeks post op. PLEASE HELP!!!

well, as a former hairstylist, and I am devoted to not only coloring my hair but highlights too...although you don't mention your exact reason for concern, this is my advice, for what it is worth... Talk with your stylist about the fact that you JUST had surgery and that you MIGHT lose some hair in the next few months.... There is NO reason NOT to color your hair at this stage....it can NOT hurt you....but you should be sure to condition it very well and take extra care of it....as I am sure you are aware, many folks lose "some" hair so you want your hair to be in the best shape as possible. Also, be sure to get (and keep) a good trim...keeps your hair looking healthier and keeps split ends from getting worse. Many of us have had to get our long(er) locks cut much shorter because of the hair loss...but not that my hair is short, I LOVE IT!!! Anyway, my short answer...there is NO reason not to color your hair.... RAE
