Dr. Gandsas' ROBOT (yes I said Robot!) LOL!

Well, I've made it post-op and am doing better than I expected. One a minor setback of a severe allergic reaction to the tape they put on my tummy but I'm A #1 satisfied. I tell you what the staff at the hospital is almost as amazing as the staff at Dr. Gandsas' office to begin with. The coolest of the cool was Dr. Gandsas' new "play toy". Its a ROBOT which broadcasts Dr. Gandsas from either his office or home. That way instead of an impersonal phone call you actually get to talk to Dr. Gandsas. Its sooooo...Jetsons-like. LOL! My parents experienced it first when they were waiting for me to arrive in my room after the recovery room. But nothing prepares you for the actual experience of it wheeling into your room. I was able to interact with Dr. Gandsas as if he were actually there showing him my incision and my breathing. Even Karen got on to say hi. The night I was being released, Dr. Gandsas was sitting in his home talking to me and when he went into the next patient's room, I heard the intergation from there. What a fun and exciting way to keep in touch with your patients. If you're one of the lucky ones to have Dr. Gandsas perform your surgery, tell Barry (The Bariatric Robot) I said Hello!

Marcia, Way to go girl welcome too the loser's club!!!!!! A robot how cool is that! I hope everything goes well for you. We have a great team at Sinai, they will help you in anyway possible. I had my surgery in May, and now I weigh 172 as of last week when I saw my primary care doctor. I have a appointment with Dr. Li tomorrow, I will see what i weigh there!!!
