Pasadena/Glen Burnie Support Group
I saw where there used to be a support group in Pasadena but that has since stopped. If you are interested in having a support group in the Glen Burnie/Pasadena area, please email me at [email protected] and let's see if we can get one started again.

It is not difficult to form a support group. It is simply a group of people who get together to chat. All you need is a location and the people. The local group was incredible. We would meet at one person's home...each person brought a dish to pass... And we just chatted. I only went to it once..but it was great. All you need is the place, the people...and the motivation.
Just a thought -- an advantage of joining a local support group that is sponsored by a doctor/hospital is that they bring in special speakers to discuss different topics that are important to WLS'ers (plastic surgery, eating around hoildays, nutrition information, etc.).
I haven't been able to attend yet, but I am looking forward to going to the St. Agnes support group. They have a special meeting the first Wed. of the month at 6:30 for postops.

Robin -
I had surgery at Sinai and they have a wonderful post-op support group; however, I am looking for something a little more intimate - a smaller group of people in the area where I live. There may be local resources or retail stores in my area that I may not be aware of.
Thanks for your response!
