A little TLC recommendation for us all!

Morning, While going thru the process and wait to seek out my surgery, I began a little Journal that I would help to keep my thoughts on things that I did not want to share with anyone but just had to get it out. I call it my venting book or sound off log. Slowly as time went on I confided in my very best pal what I was going thru and trying to achieve. To my surprise I got some rather positive feedback, not on the procedure but on coping with stress and taking a little time for ourselves when needed. In any case a friend of mind recommend that when I am up early in the morning trying to get it together, light a scented wax candle or the wax pellets that are sole with serenity rocks. Lavender is a great one. In any case I do the same thing once I get into work. I am in by 5 and enjoy sitting at my desk with my one window, watching the sun come up from the horizon, my area filled with the warm scent of my candles or rocks. I use the time at first to fill in my journal, fill in my food log from previous day and even check out the internet for shops and item I want to see myself in when all is said and done. I often have some smooth sounds on then switch over to something inspirational to my purpose. I have broken down this time to make it a me time, sometime if available I may do all of this again late at night. The serenity I give myself at this time seems to make the day much smoother and allows me to focus on my goals. All of this may seem a bit simplistic but believe me when working in a high stress job, dealing with toddlers at home, working long hours and dealing with the weight issues and maintaining a relationship a little TLC goes a long way!

Sounds like a great idea. I'm a big fan of grabbing a little "me" time when I can because it does a body good...every BODY
