Switching doctors after surgery

Hi everyone. I had my surgery a little over a year ago and am looking to switch surgeons for my continued follow-up care. I spoke to one who will not accept any new patients without a big program fee and another who won't take another doctor's patients. Someone told me Dr. Averbach would take me. Does anyone know of any other doctors who would? Thanks, Melissa

Melissa, I will say that Dr. Averbach is really great, if you need a vote to try him. He is extremely thorough and truly cares about his patients. Denise

Hi Melissa, not sure if Dr. Paul Lin will do this, but it's certainly worth a call. Here's his info - Name: Paul P. Lin MD Phone: (202) 741-3203 Email: [email protected] He's located at George Washington University Hospital in DC. I only spoke with him maybe 3 times, but I love his assistant, Denise Johnstone. I see her on all the follow-ups. Best of luck! TraciL

I have Dr. Halmi in Fairfax. He also has a office in Woodbridge. He is a Doctor for life. I love him. Short, sweet and to the point. He is a sponsor of obesityhelp. So, you can find him in the surgeon page. It would also depend on the type of surgery you had. He does Open RNY he has done around 600-800 of them. Probably more by now.
