Hi from Mechanicsville, MD - I DID IT

Hi.. I had my surgery on 12/28/05, 6 months before my 40th b-day. I only regredited it one time so far and that was day 2 in the hospital. I'm doing OK now. I'm having a hard time with protein drinks and taking the Calcium vitamins. I have to take 4 of them and its not easy when you can't swallow them whole. I wanted to document my journey and was wondering if anyone knows how to on here. When I click on peoples pictures, it takes me to their stories. I'll be darned if I can find how to do it Happy new year to all and I'll look forward to sharing my storie with everyone.

Hi I am from Mechanicsville too. I haven't had my surgery yet but am taking the steps to get approved by my insurance. To make a profile, at the top of the page it says my profile and you click that and sign in and it will give you a list of options to update your profile! Look forward to hearing more of your story!

Hi, Theresa! When you click on "My Profile" in the upper left corner... go into "General Info" ... Be sure to check YES to the question, "Would you like your profile to be public on ObesityHelp.com?" Right now, no one can click on your name and see your profile. Toward the bottom of the "General Info" is a big box you can type your story in. I hope that helps! Theresa...congratulations!!! I live in Lexington Park and had my Lap RNY 11/17/05. I am now 6 1/2weeks post-op and have lost 40 lbs so far. We have a local support group that meets at the Laexington Park library the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm (next meeting is 1/18/06). Congratulations, I will be turning 40 in September. I have to update my profile as well. I'm in the very beginning of the whole process. I completed the application packet for Dr. Gansas at Sinai and I'm waiting for my consult appointment. I wish you continued success.
