Latest Profile Update

12-22-05 Well, what a week. My dad had to have quadrupal heart bypass surgery last Thursday. He is holding his own and is still in the hospital. I am so glad he is still with us. We are working with the hospital now to get his room mate changed. The room mate was getting phone calls at 12:30 am on his cell phone and talking loud and had after hours visitors at 10:30 pm. I called the patient relations line and spoke to a lady around 10:15 am this morning to seek resolve to this issue. Dad had no rest last night at all. As far as I am doing... BAD I need to get back on the stick and start to keep a journal and try to eat better. I am starting to notice I am grabbing easy foods, mostly carbs. Bad thing. Maybe over the Christmas break (I am off work from Christmas Eve until 1-3-06) I can jump start my diet. Wish me luck.

Hi Lizzi!! I'm sorry to hear about your dad. My dad went through the same thing, but now he is fine!! Please keep in mind that your health is just as important. You don't want to end up where he is. Hi Lizzi, Haven't seen your face in the place in ...forever! Glad to see you post. Sorry to hear your Dad is going thru such an ordeal. Hope they can get him in a quiter room so he can rest and heal. Our prayers are with him and your family also. I also lost touch with my food journal the past week or so and it's time for me to get back to work on it too. We have the same doc. Ever go to the support group mtgs. down at GW? I went once in Nov. and it was great. Like to go again soon. Best wishes, Mary
