Help***Info on local support group

I am looking for a support group in my area. I live in bowie and will travel to get a good group. I think there is one in the Crofton area. Any suggestions????? Thanks

Lisa, I participate in a great support group that meets in the Crofton/Bowie area. Our meetings are on the last Tuesday of every month at 7 pm. The address is 2191 Defense Highway, Suite 201, Crofton, MD 21114. Our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 27th -- hope to see you there!!! Debby

Hi Lisa, I saw your post and said, "Yeah, another Bowieite!". Did you ever find a good local support group? I've also heard about the Crofton group, but I don't know anything else beyond that. I am still pre-op, can't get off the fence about whether to have the surgery or not. I have an appointment with a surgeon, Dr Schweitzer, this month. Hopefully he can shed some light on this as it applies to me. I have not attended any support groups and want to hear how different people have come through this and what to expect as far as lifestyle changes. I'm tired of being tired from this obesity, so I have to do something! Thanks, Sue
