Weighing yourself?
I need to lose 40lbs before my surgery will be scheduled. I've been working on everything I can...no sugar (not even splenda), no caffiene, no fast food, attempting excercise as much as possible...But I can't find a scale to weigh myself on. Its very frustrating working towards a goal and not knowing if you're making progress. I'm going to see Dr. Gandsas this week but I'd like to know if I'm going to be disappointed or not walking in there. Make sense?
Hi Marcia, I am going to assume that you can't weigh yourself because your bathroom scale can't accurately measure your weight. My brother-in-law HAD the same problem....he went to a local freight company and they weighted him...in fact, after his WLS, he continued to go for about 9 months until his weight came down far enough...the folks at the company were very kind and they cheered on his progress...
Best wishes to you....I'm saving you a seat on the losing side.

Hi Marcia...
I had this problem...when I started I was 392.5 Obviously most conventional doctor's scales do not go up past 350 unless they have a weight attachment. I found a scale on the internet that went up to 400lbs. It is made by Tinita...I think. I did a search for you the model number that I have is HD372 it is scale in the second row in the middle. I love this scale! It is 58.75...I hope this helps. It sucks not being able to weigh yourself!
