This Weekend - WLS Brunch
Hello Everyone. I have some GREAT news
The brunch has been scheduled and the room reserved. I am sending you the details, feel free to share with your other weight loss buddies that are interested.
Below you will find the details:
Location: Brooklyn Park Branch library @ 1 East 11th Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21225 (Meeting Room)
Time: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Date: 12/3/2005 - Saturday
Menu: Each person will bring their favorite breakfast, lunch or brunch item. Serving size should feed at least 10, Drinks will be provided...Coffee, Juice and cola's.
In addition to the brunch we would like to bring out the holiday season by having a gift exchange. If you would like to participate (completely up to you, if you bring a gift you get a gift) here is how it works... Bring a gift appropriate for both male or female in the amount of $10.00. Use your imagination and be creative. During the brunch those who are participating in the exchange will gather round and begin to exchange gifts. How does it work? All of the gifts are put together in a Santa pile, who goes first? We will start with the person who has had surgery first and work our way around to our newbie's as we call everyone. The first person chooses a gift - opens the gift and shows everyone. The next person chooses a gift BUT before opening the gift he/she can either keep their gift or exchange it with the person before them and so on. The game is very fun and known to bring out a lot of laughs.
This day is not an official meeting, we will not sit in a circle and formally discuss our surgeries and life thereafter, this day will be very informal, a day where we can introduce ourselves to many individuals and choose our topics of conversation. Just a day of fun spent with fellow WLS buddies. Feel free to bring your before & after pictures
Please email me with your menu item just for my own peace of mind in what we will have to serve.
I am very excited to see everyone, both old & new, Please RSVP to me via email for this day. It will help to have headcount when setting up the room.
See you all real soon ~
If you have any questions what so ever, just ask
Patty
Hi Patty,
I can't make it either. I was involved in an auto accident on the commute home from work last night. The pickup truck used me and my car for his brakes. Not a pretty sight.....his headlights were in the back of my seat when we finally stopped. Car is just about totalled. Merry Christmas to me..yeah right!
Bruised, stiff and sore....and no transporation as of yet. Did I mention that he was drunk, left the scene of the accident and was driving a truck that didn't even belong to him?
Have a great time and tell everyone happy holidays from me!
Laura
