Had my 1 month post-op checkup and have only lost .5 since my 1 week visit. I kind of expected something a little more. I'm finding it hard to either eat all of what I'm supposed to or drink, it's always one or the other. Did anyone else experience a plateau so early?

yes, I did.... Hi Alicia!! Deep Breath in...hold it...let it out...slowly...and repeat.... I had a plateau around my 2nd week or so....talk about panic...I just knew that it wasn't going to work for me.... Well, here I am 19 months out, down 130 lbs...size 6 pants...and this morning I was down 3 more pounds so I will be trying to gain them back this week....my weight typically is within a 5 pound difference....if I get below 160 I am too thin, or so says my husband and doctor.... You will continue to lose...I promise...each day your body is recovering a little bit more.... check out 222.fitday.com...it is a free site...very helpful to track your weight loss AND your food intake... Feel free to contact my privately if you need some additional support.... Best wishes to you.... RAE

Hi Alicia, Happy birthday! Mine was on the 1st. I had my surgery on Nov 3rd, I've lost 28 pounds I thought I would have lost more , but I guess not, my scale stays the same for 3-4 days. I have been discouraged and say I am not getting on that thing everyday, but everyday I find myself hoping on it.I must be a slow loser. I wish I knew when it would pick up. I know what you mean about worrying if this will work for you or not I think the same thing. Hey I live in Glen Burnie as well (harundale) so if you need a walking buddie, let me know ok. Take care Donna

Just so you know. 28lbs in a month is NOT SLOW....I will be 4 months on the 19th and I have lost 50. So, please take a deep breathe and think about what you just said. 28lbs in a month and you hope it picks up. Honey it is picked up any more, it would be driving away. Be happy.... That is exceptional and you really don't want to put too much pressure on yourself to lose to much to quickly. Your body knows what it needs to do. So, be happy, follow your doctor's orders and take your vitamins, protein and water.... Apryl 245.5/195.5/140
